Equine Shiatsu is an ancient oriental form of therapy, using acupressure and
stretching techniques to heal and balance the horse.
It is a completely non-invasive, kind, gentle and effective therapy that the
horse normally finds deeply relaxing. Shiatsu works along similar principles
to acupuncture, but using only hands, thumbs and fingers to work points on
the body, to free blockages and balance the Qi in the meridians. Although
Shiatsu is not a substitute for veterinary care, it is often a welcome

The Laminitis Clinic     

The Laminitis Clinic is the UK's only veterinary facility dedicated to the treatment

of horses with hoof problems. Most of our cases are suffering from laminitis,

acute and chronic founder, sinking syndrome and Cushing's disease. TLC was

established in 1988 since when hundreds of horses and ponies have been treated;

most of which successfully, enabling them to return to their previous work or use.

I have an HNC in Equine Management, my main love is horses, but I am passionate

about all animals. I have various other animal qualifications and have worked as an

animal technician at the college for almost 13 years now. I am now progressing to the

teaching side and am taking the Certificate in Education. I teach 12 hours a week now,

the rest of the time is spent with the animals.I am a qualified beauty therapist but I am

more interested in complimentary therapies. I am  qualified in aromatherapy (humans),

Indian head massage, Holistic massage, Reiki, and I also love crystal healing.I am

currently undertaking the GEOTA Essential Oil Therapy for Animals diploma, I hope to

become a therapist  as soon as I have completed the course. This is my main aim for

the future, using my complimentary skills to help animals either with the essential oils,

reiki or crystals.
