“This House commends the Remus Horse Sanctuary”

Rosindell, Andrew

This House commends the Remus Horse Sanctuary

That this House commends the Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary for their magnificent and loving efforts in helping to care for a variety of horses and other large animals at their stables in Buttsbury, a tranquil part of Essex near Ingatestone; notes that the sanctuary engages in the exemplary practice of adopting maltreated animals, saving them from being beaten, tortured or starved, and offers them a peaceful, safe home; acknowledges the great achievements by the individuals living at Remus in educating people about the importance of providing for each animal's welfare and the inhumane treatment some animals experience; applauds the care taken by the staff at Remus to nurture the animals to full health; further notes how the sanctuary exemplifies the animal-loving nature of the majority of British people; and hopes to draw attention to the sanctuary's work so that many more horses and other animals can be rescued and live their lives in safe and caring surroundings.
